1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Toollinks (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the web app directory at toollinks.net. This policy covers that directory and its Cloudflare Pages address, toollinks-hub.pages.dev.

The apps linked from the directory are separate services, including apps on subdomains of toollinks.net. Their own privacy notices explain how they handle calculator inputs, uploads, cookies, analytics, and other information. The shared analytics described in section 4 applies across the hub and its app subdomains. Other app processing remains subject to each app’s own notice. Contact us at [email protected] about the directory or if you cannot find an app’s policy.

2. Favorites, search, and browser storage

Searching, filtering, and sorting the directory happen in your browser. The directory code does not upload your saved favorites or create a user profile on our servers.

Information used by directory features
InformationWhere it is usedHow long it remains
Saved website identifiersYour browser’s local storage, to remember starred websites on that browser and site address.Until you remove favorites, clear the site’s browser data, or your browser removes it.
Search text and filter choicesThe page and its URL. Reloading or sharing a URL may include those values in a hosting request or disclose them to the recipient. While present in the URL, browser history, a shared link, or request records described below.

To remove favorites, unstar websites in the directory or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Browser settings can also block local storage; favorites may then work only for the current visit. The root domain and Pages address store favorites separately. Avoid putting sensitive information in search terms or URLs.

3. Hosting, technical information, and cookies

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the directory. Providing and protecting the site involves processing technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser or device headers, response details, and network or security diagnostics. Operational information may be available to us through hosting dashboards or logs.

Cloudflare also provides Zaraz, which manages the optional shared analytics described below. Cloudflare may use security or service cookies when its features require them. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for its processing practices. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking service cookies may affect security checks.

4. Optional shared Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-EE7Y2C0DMM, through Cloudflare Zaraz on toollinks.net and its app subdomains to understand which websites and pages are used and improve the collection. This section covers that shared analytics property. A linked app may also use a separate analytics property and consent control, as explained in its own notice. Your choice for shared analytics does not change those separate controls.

The shared property requires your affirmative consent. Rejecting it does not prevent you from using the hub or apps. Cloudflare stores your shared choice in a cookie named toollinks_shared_analytics_consent. If you allow analytics, Zaraz uses first-party identifiers and session storage or cookies to distinguish visits and reports page views, session or engagement information, page hostname and path, and limited browser, language, and screen information to Google. Analytics identifiers can associate visits across this domain’s subdomains.

We configure shared page views to exclude URL query strings and fragments, use hostname and path instead of dynamic page titles, hide the visitor’s originating IP address from Google, and omit arbitrary app event properties. We do not configure shared tracking of calculator inputs, uploaded files, form contents, JWTs, account identifiers, advertising audiences, or ecommerce events. Cloudflare still processes technical information to deliver this service. An app’s separate analytics may use different settings.

Settings are available on toollinks.net when the consent service has loaded.

Use this control to review or withdraw shared analytics consent. A decline stops future shared analytics collection; it does not erase information already received by Google. You can also clear this domain’s cookies and browser storage or use browser blocking controls. Your choice may need to be made again after storage is cleared or expires. The consent service is configured for the custom domain, rather than the Pages preview address.

Google and Cloudflare process analytics information for us. Analytics information is retained for measuring use and improving the collection, subject to the retention limits configured in Google Analytics and the providers’ processing policies. Browser identifiers may be stored for up to one year and may be renewed during use. You can clear them through your browser; contact us for information about retention or a deletion request. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites using its services. Contact [email protected] about shared analytics or requests concerning information already collected.

5. Information you send us

If you email [email protected], we receive the email address you use, your message, and any other information or attachments you choose to send. Our email service providers also process the message to deliver and store it. Clicking an email link opens your email application; the directory does not submit a contact form in the background.

We use correspondence to answer requests, address privacy or security concerns, investigate reported problems, and maintain necessary records. Please do not send passwords, live access tokens, patient information, payment details, or other sensitive data that is unnecessary for your request.

6. How information is used and disclosed

We use the information described above to provide requested features, deliver and secure the directory, troubleshoot problems, respond to correspondence, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing is based on our legitimate interests in running a secure service and responding to inquiries, performing a service you request where applicable, complying with law, or consent when required.

Information may be processed by hosting, security, analytics (with shared analytics consent), and email service providers for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the service.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The directory has no targeted advertising or cross-site advertising trackers. We do not change the directory’s behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals.

7. When you open another website

Opening a directory link makes a new request to that app and its service providers. They may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser headers and may process any information you enter there. Their practices can differ from this directory’s, even when the address ends in toollinks.net.

Review the destination’s privacy policy before entering information. A description such as “local” or “browser-based” is not a guarantee that a linked app makes no network requests or uses no service providers.

8. Retention, security, and international processing

Browser favorites remain under your control as described above. We keep correspondence and any operational records under our control only as long as reasonably needed to respond to requests, maintain security, resolve issues, and satisfy legal or recordkeeping obligations. We then delete or anonymize them when no longer needed. Retention within service providers’ systems depends on their services and applicable policies; we do not promise a single retention period for every provider log.

We use HTTPS and reasonable safeguards appropriate to this directory. No internet service, browser storage, or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Hosting, analytics, and email services may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, the relevant processing must be subject to those safeguards.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

You can browse without creating an account, clear local favorites, reject or withdraw shared analytics consent in section 4, manage browser storage and cookies, and choose what you send us by email.

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and to complain to your local data protection authority. Applicable exceptions and eligibility requirements may apply. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Send privacy questions and requests to [email protected]. We may request reasonable information to verify that a request concerns your information. We will respond as required by applicable law. We cannot read or remotely delete favorites stored only in your browser; clear them using the controls described in section 2.

10. Children’s privacy

The directory is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through accounts, forms, or email correspondence. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact [email protected] so we can review it and take appropriate steps. Children should use age-appropriate linked services with guidance from a parent or guardian.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when the directory or our practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update its date. Material changes will be identified on the site, and we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. A policy update does not itself authorize a new use of previously collected information where consent or another legal basis is required.

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, email [email protected].
